$0.00. There are no fees to join goodbuy and no fees to get verified. No click fees. And no monthly fees with goodbuy. We only make money when you do.
*Please note that goodbuy does not guarantee business’ performance. Sales, clicks, saves, and impressions of any product or store listed on goodbuy is not guaranteed.

These charges are processed as a sum total of all app referral fees from sales made in the previous 30 day period. Nope! Unlike other apps, the goodbuy Shopify app does not add any code (JavaScript or otherwise) to your Shopify store, so adding the goodbuy app will not impact the speed of your store’s website at all. The goodbuy app simply allows for Shopify’s backend technology to communicate with goodbuy so we can learn about changes you make to your products/inventory in real time. This way, we always have the most accurate information about your products to reveal to goodbuy shoppers!
The app spending limit alert states that you’ll be charged based on how you use goodbuy (to a maximum of $1,000.00 per 30 days). This means that if goodbuy were to send $10,000 worth of sales to your small business [for example], goodbuy would make $1,000 as a referral commission on this sale (10%). If you were to exceed this $1,000 maximum amount within 30 days, the goodbuy team would contact you to discuss making adjustments to your app spending limit.
Of course! You’ll need to ensure that you’ve installed the goodbuy app for Shopify, and make sure that you are logged into your Shopify admin panel:
That’s it! your products selections will automatically be reflected throughout the goodbuy search engine and shopping tools.
There are three ways for your small business and products to be discovered by goodbuy shoppers!
(1) Shoppers that have the goodbuy browser extension for Google Chrome installed on their laptop or desktop computer will receive instant alternatives from small businesses (like yours!) wherever and whenever they are searching or browsing on a mega-retailer’s website (think: Amazon, Walmart, H&M, Pottery Barn, etc.) At the moment of a shopper’s search, goodbuy shows up to reveal instant alternatives to big box stores and products all from small, values-aligned businesses (like yours). As soon as a customer selects a product on goodbuy, they’re automatically redirected to shop and make a purchase on your website.
(2) Similarly, shoppers that have the goodbuy app for iOS installed on their iPhone or iPad receive instant small business alternatives wherever and whenever they shop with mega-retailers using the Safari browser. Just like the Google Chrome browser extension, goodbuy shows up in the moment of search to reveal small business alternatives and redirect shoppers away from big box stores directly to small businesses like yours.
(3) Last but not least, shoppers can find your small business and products via goodbuy directly using the goodbuy shop page which functions similarly to a marketplace and search engine (like Google or Bing), to provide instant small business product results each time a shopper searches using goodbuy. Again, when a shopper clicks on a product found on goodbuy they’re automatically redirected to your e-commerce store to make their purchase!
Nope! goodbuy is not a drop shipping app, marketplace, or traditional affiliate network. goodbuy is a small-business-exclusive referral marketplace, where shoppers can browse and discover your small business and products! Once a customer is ready to buy, they’re redirected away from goodbuy directly to your small business to complete their purchase. Once they land on your site, they’re free to experience what makes you, you! Plus: when this new customer checks out on your website, they become your loyal fan and customer since all of the order and shipping details are shared directly with you upon check out. Score!
goodbuy (unlike certain other mega-retailer marketplaces *wink wink*) does not withhold customer information from small businesses; we’re here to support your business’ ability to grow and thrive on AND off of goodbuy. Since goodbuy is a referral marketplace that sends shoppers directly to your e-commerce store to purchase, you receive all of the same information from your goodbuy-referred shoppers that you do from all other shoppers on your site (think: necessary contact and shipping information). Additionally, goodbuy only receives customer information that the shoppers choose to submit directly to goodbuy; we do not capture or utilize information submitted by shoppers via your site directly.
Once you have the goodbuy app for Shopify installed, you’ll receive access to your own small business dashboard. Here, you can view data from the date your small business was verified on goodbuy to the current date. This data includes:
To review a detailed breakdown of sales* and app charges associated with your small business, please visit the sales widget via your goodbuy business dashboard or: https:/YOURSTOREDOMAINHERE/admin/settings/account/statement_ofcharges. To learn more about your Shopify bill, visit Shopify’s help article on Understanding Your Bill or contact a member of our team at: smallbusiness@trygoodbuy.com.
*Please note that goodbuy does not guarantee business’ performance. Sales, clicks, saves, and impressions of any product or store listed on goodbuy is not guaranteed.
goodbuy tracks each product that receives clicks on our shop page, and via our shopping tools. goodbuy’s current attribution model is 60 days.
When a customer makes a purchase from your small business, goodbuy validates the referral history records to attribute that sale to goodbuy. If that customer clicked to visit your small business from goodbuy (within the last 60 days), goodbuy charges a 10% commission on the total cart price (less shipping).
If a user were to click on a product from your shop and make a purchase 70 days later (for instance), goodbuy would not charge the commission as the 60 day window is then closed. Similar to most other affiliate programs, goodbuy uses a combination of cookies, IP address data, and email addresses to connect a customer’s click on goodbuy to their sale with your small business.
We completely understand and value your concerns here, so thank you for asking this important question. The privacy of all businesses using goodbuy (as well as your customers) is a top priority for our team. In order to administer goodbuy’s affiliate program, we need to have access to the custom orders that we send through to your small business’ site. Unfortunately, Shopify does not allow us to select which orders goodbuy does or does not have the ability to view– rather, they have a single permission titled "orders,” which provides access to all orders, regardless of whether or not we want access to them.
That being said, goodbuy never analyzes, captures, or stores any information for orders or customers that did not come through goodbuy. Additionally, goodbuy is CCPA and GDPR compliant with all information we do store as it relates to shoppers who are referred via goodbuy. We will never reach out to any of your other customers or use their data in any way. For additional information, you can always review to goodbuy’s terms of use, affiliate agreement, and privacy policy to learn more.
Our goal here at goodbuy is to create a singular platform to help scale growth and redistribute opportunities for small businesses, both on and off goodbuy. We’re continuing to build and launch affordable, efficient, and highly accessible growth marketing tools for small businesses like yours!
